억겁의 세월 속에서 탄생된 신들의 고향 장가계에서 캔버스를 펼쳤다. 20호 캔버스 5점이 연결된다. 작업 장소는 황석채 이다.
장가계는 워낙 유명하고 범위가 넓어서 첫날만 종일 둘러봤지만 절반도 보지 못했다.
나머지 8일간은 이곳 지점에서 작업에 집중하기로 했다.
아침에 입구에 도착하면 평일에도 수만 명이 입장을 기다리고 있다. 장가계의 세군데 입구 중 한곳인데도...
중국의 거대한 스케일과 인구를 실감할 수 있다.
작업지점은 영화 아바타의 배경으로 널리 알려진 곳이다!
올해 아바타 2탄이 이곳에서 촬영될 것이라고 상하이에서 온 중국인이 말했다.
작업현장은 숙소에서 멀다.
장가계는 시내에서 버스로 30~40분 타고 1시간 이상 산속을 걸어야 한다. 물론 중간에 케이블카도 타야 작업시간을 확보할 수 있다. 입장요금 케이블카 모두 따로 계산된다. 어쨌든 하루 3~4시간 이동시간이 소요되지만 이곳의 기온은 작업하기에 최적이다.
In the great mountain of Zhangjiajie.
On the third day in Zhangjiajie where hometown of gods, I am painting on the five canvases which are connected.
The working area is Hwang Suk Chae.
Zhangjiajie is so famous and so wide that I looked around all day on the first day but did not see half of it.
For the remaining eight days, I decided to concentrate on my work at here.
If you arrive at the entrance in the morning, tens of thousands of people await your entry on weekdays. Even though it's one of three entrances ...
I can realize the huge scale and population of China. Workspaces are widely known as backgrounds for movie Avatar!
The second Avatar this year will be shot here, a Chinese from Shanghai said. The work site is far from the hotel. I have to take a 30-40 minute bus ride from Zhangjiajie city and walk for over an hour. Of course, I need to taking a cable car in the middle. Entrance and Cable car fee are calculated separately.
Anyway, it takes 3 to 4 hours a day to move, but the temperature here is perfect for work.

한달간 중국 아트 투어 마지막 밤이다.
남쪽 끝에서 장가계까지 현장에서 그림 그리면서 많은 것을 보고 느꼈다.
그들의 삶의 깊숙한 곳에서 직접 체험한 중국인들은 많은 것을 생각하게 한다. 내 그림/작업에 대한 그들의 관심을 먼저 얘기하고 싶다.
그동안 국내/해외 여러 나라에서 작업하면서 많은 사람들을 만났지만 가장 내 그림/작업에 대해 관심이 많았던 사람들은 중국인 인 것 같다.
외모는 같지만 알아들을 수 없는 중국말을 하면 "나는 한국사람 입니다"라고 하자 많은 중국인들은 밝은 표정으로 더 많은 이야기를 건넸고, 거침없이 카메라로 인증샷을 찍고, 위쳇 친구가 되었다. 이들 중 적지 않은 중국인들과 인연이 이어질 것 같다.
장가계 황석채에서 작업 막바지 때 만난 교사분의 내 그림에 대한 관심은 특별했다.
함께 온 일행을 먼저 보내고 남아 내 작업을 지켜보기에 개인전 팜프렛 자료를 보여주자 꼼꼼하게 보았고 특징적인 작품에 대한 질문과 자신의 생각을 얘기했다. 가장 좋아하는 것은 매화 시리즈였지만 '겨울바다-간절곶'이 가장 인상 깊다면서 오랫동안 눈을 떼지 않았다. 그리고 그분 스마트폰으로 내 개인홈페이지를 열어보면서 앞으로 더 많은 이야기를 나누기로 했다.
개인 홈페이지: www.kch.pe.kr 오픈한지 20년이 더 지났지만 초창기 10~15 년간은 매우 활발하고 소통하는데 도움이 됐지만 최근 몇년간은 스마트폰으로 페이스북과 중국인들과는 위쳇으로 소통하면서 개인 홈페이지를 활성화하지 못했지만 홈페이지의 중요성을 다시한번 느꼈다.
친절하고 선한 중국인들:
많은 중국인들의 목소리가 큰 것은 부담스럽지만 호의를 베푼 것에 감사의 뜻을 남긴다.
길을 못찾을 때 오토바이에 직접 태워서 버스 정류장까지 태워 준 경찰관!
창사 기차역 전광판 안내 글이 중국어 라서 표를 끊을 수 없을 때 끝까지 옆에서 도와준 아가씨!
계림-양숴 산 정상에서 점심도 먹지 못하고 허기진 상태로 작업할 때 빵과 과일을 주면서 작업장면도 찍어주던 여교사!
이외에도 여러 중국인들이 내게 도움을 줬다. 앞서 말한 중국인은 장가계-황석채 산 정상에서 멀리 가게까지 가서 푸짐한 먹거리를 주고 갔다.
중국에서의 다음 작품 활동과 전시를 위해 작품/재료를 맡긴 난닝과 산동성에 있는 중국분들도 고맙다. 끝으로 2019 중국 아트 투어 꿈을 현실로 이룬 가장 큰 역할을 한 난닝 출신 중국인 조사장 과의 인연이다. 7년전 제주도 중문에서 그림 그릴 때 우연히 내 그림의 모델이 된 것이 금번 중국 투어를 하게 된 큰 계기가 되었다.
작업 도구들과 그림을 맡아주고, 숙소와 여행계획 등 구체적인 것들을 세심하게 챙겨주었고, 중국어 소통의 어려움을 고려해서 영어에 능통한 친구들까지 챙겨주는 등 고맙고 친절한 중국인들과 함께한 2019년 여름을 잊을 수 없다.
It is the last night of the world art tour in China for one month.
From the southern end to the inland middle point Zhangjiajie, I saw many things while I was drawing pictures in the field.
After a month of deep experience in their lives, the Chinese feel they have a lot to think about.
The reason I came here is because of my work, so I would like to talk about their interest in my paintings / works first.
In the meantime, I have met many people working in the domestic / foreign countries directly on the field, and most of the interested people who showed my painting / work were Chinese.
When I say that I am a Korean, many Chinese talked more with a bright expression, tried to take a shot while taking a camera without any interruption, I became friends with them through WeChet. It seems that many Chinese will continue as a good friend.
A Chinese teacher who I met at the end of work at Zhangjiajie Hwang Seok Chae was special. She watched my work carefully. So I showed of the recent pamphlets.
Her favorite works were the Plum Blossoms series. She kept an eye on it for a long time, saying that 'Winter sea - Ganseolgot' is the most impressive work among the pamphlets.
I opened my personal homepage on the Chinese smartphone and it appeared on the screen normally so I decided to share more stories in the future.

Although it has been more than 20 years since its opening, it has been very active and useful for communicating with the people for the first 10 ~ 15 years. However, in recent years, smart phone have been communicating at Facebook and WeChat, I could not activate it.
Friendly, good and good Chinese:
It was burdensome for many Chinese people to voice their voice, but I want to thank them for their generous compliments.
A police man who burned me and my wife on a motorcycle to the bus station when I could not find my way!
When I can not buy the ticket because of the difficult Chinese signboard in Changsha train station, the beautiful Chinese girl helped me a lot.
In Guilin, a Chinese teacher who took a picture and gave me the bread and fruit. She had taken when I am hungry and unable to have lunch at the top of the mountain in Yangshuo. In addition, many Chinese helped me. A Chinese teacher went to a store far from the top of Zhangjiajie - Hwangsuksae mountain who bought for me a lot of food.
I would also like to thank the Chinese people in Nanning and Shandong Province who will keep the works and thr materials left for the next work and exhibition in China.
Finally, the person who I met about seven years ago, when I was drawing pictures at Jungmun beach in Jeju Island, his family became a model by accidently.
He is willing to take care of my left work tools and pictures, take care of specific things such as accommodation and travel plans, and take with his friends who are fluent in English
I can not forget in the summer of 2019 with the kind and gentle Chinese who care about everything.
