For the students' international exchange 국제교류전

The upper five works were drawn by me but below three works were drawn by the students for the big hospitality.

러시아 방문 목적은 재직(1995~2017)했던 울산예술고등학교와 러시아 학생들의 작품교류전 때문이었다. 학생/교사 총18명(무용/음악포함)이 방문했다. 음악은 10년 전부터 교류가 시작됐다. 미술은 2012년에 시아 미술학교에서 본 교류전을 위해 대표단이 울산을 방문후 교류전이 시작됐다. 학생들 모두 호기심이 넘친다. 장차 세계를 무대로 한국인의 예술적 잠재력을 널리 떨쳐나가길 바란다.

첨부한 위 5 작품은 본인이 그렸고, 아래 3 작품은 학생들이 그렸다.

6점의 드로잉은 우리일행들을 위해 큰 호의를 베풀어준 것에 대한 감사의 뜻으로 선물했다.

 It was a special experience that I looked the memorial sculpture field of Renin(1870-1924) while I was staying in Novosibirsk, Russia for the students’ cultural exchange. I got a very strong impression by the sculptures. Although I could not finish the two paintings but I think that it was a particular attempt.

While I was standing on the place, I can imagine the Russians’ past/present/future. Someday, if I visit the country again, the sculpture field will be the most selected place to paint. And I’m glad that I had many good opportunities about the Art education of Russia. Now, It comes to me more friendly.

  2014.04.13.~19 러시아 노보시비르스크 미술학교 Novosibirsk State Art College와 국제문화교류 때문에 현지를 다녀오면서 살아 숨 쉬는 모습을 직접 볼 수 있었다. 특히 이번 교류전의 특성상 그들의 미술교육을 구체적으로 엿본 것은 매우 뜻깊다. 무엇보다 인상 깊은 것은, 국립오페라발레극장 광장에 있는 거대한 동상이다. 러시아 역사의 큰 획을 장식할 뿐 아니라 오늘날까지 러시아를 상징하는 레닌의 동상과 그 옆에 함께한 군상이다. 역사와 문화의 교차점에서 러시아의 과거/현재/미래가 비교된다. 내가 머물었던 국립발레학교 기숙사는 레닌 동상과 불과 10분 거리로 여러차례 둘러볼 수 있었다. 아쉽게도 시도한 두 작품을 제대로 끝내지는 못했지만 언젠가 다시 러시아로 그림 그리러 간다면 다시 찾고 싶다. 그리고 러시아 미술/미술교육은 아카데믹을 중시하면서 회화의 경우 유화에 많은 비중을 두고 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 미술뿐만 아니라 음악/발레 등 다양한 예술분야에 특별한 관심을 쏟고 있었다.
