Martha sent me an e-mail as followings for the restaurant.

"......The dinner was absolutely marvelous. What a beautiful and delicious surprise! I would never imagined such a fabulous restaurant in the Korean countryside....."

From the outside."The restaurant's name is Namyeon-herd, 170-1. Sangsong-ri, hwabook-myeon, Yeongcheon” seems like a modern newly-opened restaurant with typical Korean adornments; a wooden water wheel fountain and large flower garden. Once inside, wonderful details begin to appear.

In the ladies’ room I found dainty jeweled low-heeled slip-ons. I thought a customer had accidently worn the bathroom flip-flops until I noticed an identical pair. As I sat down, I observed that the floor covering although vinyl, was a reproduction of aged hewn planks with moss and small flowers rising from the crevices. A vegetarian meal was requested.

The waiter presented a palette of red, yellow, orange and many tones of green. They were beautifully arranged flower blossoms and various types of vegetable greens for making wraps. Small bowls of carefully arranged side dishes made a mosaic pattern on the table. Each one was a mini-masterpiece created with splashes of red pepper and orange carrots, garnished with the green of fresh fennel. The colorful arrangement looked too perfect to disturb.

The waiter took the first step by showing how to prepare a vegetable and rice wrap by adding basil, fennel and flower blossoms for flavor. The scent of the herbs enticed me to taste the delicate creation. The blend of flavors, textures, and aromas was delicious. Like a princess, I enjoyed the various dishes, slowly savoring the infinite combinations of flowers, herbs, vegetables, and rice.

지난 주말 미국인과 함께 방문했는데 매우 인상적인 식당입니다.
함께한 미국인이 채식주의자인데 너무 좋아하더군요.
특별히 부탁할 일이 있어서 감사한 마음에 대한 사례로 저녁을 대접한 것인데, 처음엔 고기를 대접할까했는데 온갖 꽃과 야채로 차려진 식단에 감탄을 금치 않더군요.
1인당 만원이 결코 아깝지 않더군요.

그분은 저에 대한 배려를 잊지 않으면서, 이곳에 차려진 멋진 식단이 제가 더 좋아할 거라고했고, 아름다운 식단을 소재로 멋진 그림을 그려서 식당주인에게 보이면 팔 수 있을 거라고 말했습니다. ^^__^^

위치는 영천시내에서 안동/청송쪽으로 가는 국도변에 있습니다.

마지막 사진에서 보는 것처럼 직접 키운 온갖종류의 꽃과 식물들이이 넘쳐납니다. 이것을 재료로 식당을 한다고 했습니다.
밤이라 사진이 어둡고 선명하지 않지만 실제 현장을 식당 앞 정원과 뒤에 엄청난 규모로 키우고 있습니다. 멋진 조경과 분수를 가꾼것이 한적하고 허름한 시골분위기와는 많이 다른 이국적인 곳입니다.
