TouTube! The Eternal Emotional Moments

나는 유튜브 채널을 11년 전 열었다.
I started my YouTube channel 11 years ago.
당시엔 실험적으로 몇 개의 동영상을 업로드 한 것이 전부였다.
At the time, all I did was upload a few videos as an experiment.
이후 작품활동 관련 기록을 남기기 위해
After that, in order to record something special from my work,
전문가 분께 의뢰해서 만든 것을 업로드 하기도 했다.
I also uploaded videos that I had commissioned from experts.

당시엔 유튜브가 대중적이지 않았다
At the time, YouTube wasn't popular.
무엇보다 업로드 할 영상용량이 매우 제한적으로 허용되었기에
Most of all, it was very limited to uploaded of the videos.
제대로 활용할 수 없었다.
So I couldn't use it properly.

그런데, 2~3년 전 다양한 유튜브를 탐색하다가 큰 감동을 받았다.
However, 2-3 years ago, I got very strong impression while YouTube appreciation.
미국 캘리포니아에서 뉴욕까지 자전거로 한 달 이상
I watched on YouTube the adventurous stories of two different Korean youths
5천km를 넘게 자전거로 달리는 2명의 한국 청년들의 모험담을 유튜브로 봤는데,
They rode bicycles from California to New York for over a month, over 5,000 km.
두 개의 영상은 약 10시간이인데도 고화질로 끊김없이 볼 수 있었다.
The two videos were about 10 hours long but it was in high definition without any interruption.

정말 믿기 어려운 인터넷환경에 놀랐다. I was really surprised by the unbelievable Internet environment.
그 청년들의 도전기도 설렜고, The challenge of those young people was exciting,
생생한 풍광을 지켜보는 것도 좋았지만 and it was nice to watch the vivid scenery,
무엇보다 10시간이나 되는 엄청난 용량의 파일이 업로드 되고
but above all, the reality that a huge file of 10 hours was uploaded
전 세계로 퍼진다는 현실은 지금도 실감나지 않는다.
and spread around the world is still hard to believe.

이외에도 나는 다른 두 편의 모험기를 유튜브로 감동 깊게 보았다.
In addition, I was deeply moved by two other adventure stories I watched on YouTube.
한명은 독일 청년이 아프리카 남쪽 끝에서 북쪽 끝까지 자전거를 타고 가는 여행기였다.
One was a travelogue of a German youth cycling from the southern tip Africa to the northern tip.
너무너무 감동적이었다. It was so touching.
아마 이 독일 청년의 여행기록은 내가 지금까지 보았던 수많은 유튜브 영상 중 최고로 꼽고 싶다. I would say that this is probably the best of all the YouTube videos I've ever seen.
검은 대륙 아프리카의 야생과 순수한 사람들의 해맒은 미소가 너무 인상 깊었다.
The wildness of the black continent of Africa and the innocent smiles of its people were so impressive.
나는 오랜 세월 연락을 이어오고 있는 나이지리아 친구가 있다.
I have a Nigerian friend with whom I have been in contact for many years.
언제든 나를 환영하고 내가 방문하기를 기다리고 있지만 지금까지 실행하지 못하고 있다... He welcomes me at any time and is waiting for me to visit, but has not been able to do so until now...

다른 한명은 한국 아가씨가 호주의 사막을 자전거로 여행하는 것도 매우 감동적이었다.
Another one was a Korean girl chcling through the Australian desert, which was also very touching.
이 아가씨는 10년 이상 자전거로 세계여행을 했다. 그것도 세계여행 경비를 직접 해외에서 벌어가면서 했다.
This girl has been traveling the world by bike for over 10 years. She also earned her own travel expenses overseas.
비록 이들이 나와 세대가 다르지만 내 삶과 세상을 바라보는데 많은 생각을 갖게 했다. Although they are different generation than me, they gave me a lot to think about in terms of my life and the world.
이외에도 나는 유튜브를 통해 매우 다양하고 유익한 정보를 얻고 있다.
Besides that, I get a lot of diverse and useful information through YouTube.

나는 지난 2월부터 영상제작/유튜브를 배우기 시작했다.
I started learning video production/YouTube in February,
3월부터 꾸준히 영상을 업로드하고 있는다.
I have been uploading videos consistently since March,
앞으로도 더욱 양질의 영상을 제작해서 유튜브에 업로드 할 것이다.
I will continue to produce higher quality videos and upload to YouTube.

특히, 나는 어린 시절부터 지금까지 늘 야외에서 그림을 그리고 있다.
In particular, I have always painted outdoors since I was a child.
그래서 국내는 물론 해외 많은 나라에서도 그림을 그렸다.
So I have painted in many countries, both domestically and internationally.
여러분들이 짐작할 수 있는 것보다 더 많은 것을 경험했고,
I have experienced more than you can imagine,
지금 이 순간에도 나는 그림에 관심있는 많은 외국인들과 소통하고 있다.
Even at this moment, I am communicating with many foreigners who are interested in art.

하지만 나의 이러한 경험들은 대부분 내 자신만 갖고 있다.
But most of these experiences are mine alone.
그래서 나의 이러한 경험 중 공익적이고 유익한 것들을 많은 사람들과 함께하고 싶다.
So I want to share with many people the public and beneficial experiences I have.
내 자신의 삶의 기록과 작품활동에 대한 것을 좀 더 깊이있고, 의미있고, 가치있게 만들고 싶다. I want to make my own life records and works more profound, meaningful, and valuable.
